Every visit to Chester Zoo is a unique and exciting experience! The UK’s number one zoo, close to the historic city of Chester, is set in 110 acres of award-winning gardens.

We can help you find your way to Chester Zoo - there are many travel options and we encourage our visitors to 'go green' and travel by bike, train or bus where possible. With 1.4 million visitors every year, the zoo is an all-year round favourite attraction for people of all ages.

The zoo opens at 10am every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Last entry and closing times vary with the seasons. Please see our opening and closing times - for today's times please see the bottom right of this page. You can also see our current discounts and vouchers available here.
