Meet the roan antelope - a bold and powerful grazer of Africa’s vast savannahs. With their striking black-and-white facial markings, muscular build, and metre-long horns, these antelope are built for survival. They live in tightly bonded herds, where dominant males defend their groups in dramatic, head-clashing battles. Although listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List, their numbers are shrinking in parts of their range due to habitat loss, hunting and climate change.
