From Undergrad to postgrad degrees, we are pleased to teach, support and co-develop degrees and content with a range of universities.

Bangor University: BSc (Hons) Zoology with Animal Management
- Started in 2024, this collaboration is a 3rd year module on site at the zoo.
- Hosted in the first semester the Advanced in Animal Management module covers animal behaviour, nutrition and zoological management.
- The module’s zoo assessment is also held on site with zoo staff assisting in supporting and reviewing.
- The BSc also allows students to undertake a year in industry, which the zoo is proud to have supported for over a decade.

University of Chester: PGCert in Conservation & Sustainability Education
- A collaboration between Chester Zoo and the University of Chester
- This Masters level qualification is designed for educators (formal or informal) and conservation practitioners wanting to lead, design, deliver and evaluate education programmes in conservation & sustainability.
- This certificate is delivered online and part-time to allow participants to work while studying.

Manchester Metropolitan University: MSc Zoo Conservation Biology
- This is a long-term partnership between Chester Zoo and Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) which has existed for over 15 years.
- Chester Zoo is proud to run the Zoo Conservation module on site where students will study with us over six days.
- Aimed at individuals who have an interest in working in a modern zoo and zoological conservation management.
- Students benefit from the chance to undertake short-term placements at the zoo across our animal teams.

University of Liverpool: MSc Wildlife Health and Conservation
- A new collaboration between the University of Liverpool and Chester Zoo, combining academic study with applied conservation science expertise.
- Chester Zoo supports the MSc in Wildlife Health and Conservation through specialist teaching informed by active conservation science programmes.
- Designed for those pursuing leadership careers in animal health and welfare, conservation and species management.
- Students benefit from experts from Liverpool’s Institute of Infection, Veterinary & Ecological Sciences alongside Chester Zoo’s specialist teams.
