Important information:
Ticket requirements: To visit us on Home Educator Day, you will require an entry ticket to the zoo, which can be an educational rate ticket bought through the link on this page, or member entry.
To be eligible for this rate, an adult ticket can only be bought alongside a child ticket, with a maximum of one adult for each school-aged child attending (e.g. 2 adults with 2 children). Any additional adults must purchase a full price ticket to the Zoo.
Age to attend workshops: Workshops are divided into different age groups to let us use activities and vocabulary suited to that age. Whilst they are a guideline only, to ensure the smooth running of the workshops, we request that older or younger children do not attend workshops intended for a different age group if they might disrupt the rest of the group.
Adult supervision: All children must be accompanied by an adult in our drop in sessions, meet ups and workshops. For workshops, one adult ticket is included per workshop, per child ticket purchased. Please note that due to the room capacity we ask that only one adult remain for a workshop.
We require adequate supervision of children at all times around Chester Zoo, and discounted educational rate adult admission is granted under this understanding.
Workshop Size: We have a maximum capacity for 15 children per class with their accompanying adult.
