Networks for Nature Festival: Volunteer planning group
We're looking for a group of young people aged 11-17 to plan and design the youth area and activities programme to deliver at the festival. It’s a great way to share ideas, get creative, meet new friends, develop organisational, communication and project planning skills.
Part 1 - The planning stage - Thursday 7 and Thursday 21 August. We will meet as a group at the zoo to design the tent and plan the programme. Ideally both dates should be attended so you can be a part of the whole planning process.
Part 2 - The Networks for Nature Festival - Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September. Volunteer your time at the festival Youth Tent and deliver the activities with festival goers. It's a great opportunity to share your work and develop skills. You can do a morning or afternoon voluntary slot on either Saturday or Sunday.
This series of sessions are suitable for 11-17 year olds. An adult needs to accompany you to the zoo for drop off and pick up. Supporting adults are welcome to join the sessions.
Please book a ticket for everyone coming, including supporting adults who are staying during the session so we know how many people are coming. If adults are doing drop off and pick up - they don't need to book a ticket.
This is a free event.
A big thanks to our amazing funders The Westminster Foundation and The National Lottery Heritage Fund who support us to deliver youth led events and training to enable even more young people to access and take action for nature.
