Join us for our Young Conservationist activities exploring conservation careers and discovering how we how prevent extinction. These activities are great for those exploring career opportunities in zoology, veterinary, conservation and education.
We will have three sessions throughout the summer and each day will be different. This is for young people in secondary school years 7-9. This is a great opportunity to discover more about the world of conservation.

Who it’s for?
Young people in secondary school years 7-9. Children should be booked into the school year group they are currently in. The school year runs from 1 September – 31 August.
What’s included?
Hands-on activities relating to the conservation topic, which may include getting to grips with the equipment our teams use across the world to help conserve animals, or discovering how we use science to find out about hormones in poo, right here in our very own, state of the art, International Centre for Zoo Science.
Hearing first hand experiences from Chester Zoo staff who contribute towards our mission of enabling wildlife in the UK and across the globe to survive and thrive.
A Certificate of Completion to show your aspiring conservationist has acquired the skills and knowledge they need.
All attendees will need to bring their own packed lunch.
Please be aware that Our Conservation Career Days do not include any hands-on contact with our animals or access to behind-the-scenes areas.
