Visit Monsoon Forest’s impressive rooftop canopy for an exclusive opportunity to see the Sumatran orangutans from a unique viewpoint.

From high above the forest, you’ll discover one of the most spectacular views in the zoo.

Expert keepers will share insights into the daily care of these critically endangered primates and provide updates from field teams working to protect orangutans in the wild.

Animal talks

Join our Zoo Rangers for their exciting daily talks and learn all about the magnificent animals we’re home to at the zoo.

Terms and conditions

  • Includes zoo admission for the participant(s) for the whole day.
  • Please arrive at Experiences HQ 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • This is a physically demanding experience. Participants must be physically fit, able to walk several kilometres around the zoo at pace, climb multiple flights of stairs unaccompanied, and walk over uneven ground without difficulty.
  • Monsoon Forest is a warm, humid environment, and rooftop areas can reach temperatures exceeding 40°C. Participants must be comfortable in these conditions for the duration of the experience.
  • Suitable for people aged 16 and over.
  • Regrettably, some guests are unable to take part, including those with epilepsy, relevant phobias or allergies, mobility issues, pregnant women, and immunocompromised individuals.
  • While every effort is made to accommodate guests with disabilities or learning difficulties, due to health, safety, and practical considerations, this may not always be possible. Please contact us before purchasing.
