The Weird but Wonderful Tour is an early morning experience that brings you face-to-face with some of Chester Zoo’s most rarely seen species.

Discover animals you may never have seen before - even if you've visited the zoo a dozen times.

This brand new tour is designed to highlight animals that don’t appear on any of our other tours, and are often hard to spot during the day. This tour is perfect for curious minds of all ages.

Over 90 unforgettable minutes, you’ll journey through quiet corners of the zoo in one of our electric buses, guided by one of our passionate experts. Along the way, you’ll enjoy peaceful, crowd-free views of species that are unusual, surprising, and truly extraordinary.

The The Weird but Wonderful Tour takes place before the zoo opens to the public, giving you crowd free views as you explore the zoo on our electric tour bus.

You'll see incredible species that aren't featured on our other tours, including.

With your expert guide leading the way, you’ll hear fascinating stories about each animal - from rare adaptations to the vital conservation work helping to protect them.
