Let their imagination run wild as they explore the zoo with their friends on a day they’ll be talking about for years to come. Celebrate in style with classic party food in your own private venue, tailored entertainment and activities, plus a personalised private tour!
Our party package includes:
• Access for up to 12 children and 4 adults
• Private party space for up to 2 hours
• Food and drink for each child
• Entertainment and private tour with a Zoo Ranger
• 20cm soft plush toy for each child
Additional children and adults can be added to your party package, please indicate this when booking your child’s party.

• Stone baked pizza, Margherita slice with fries.
• Cheeseburger, farm assured beef patty, Monterey Jack cheese, corn on the cob and fries.
• Hot dog, farm assured pork sausage served in a brioche roll, corn cob and fries.
• Plant based “chicken” burger, chicken style burger, vegan cheese, corn on the cob and fries (PB).
• Penne pasta, served in a classic tomato sauce, with a slice of garlic bread (V).
All dietary requirements and allergies can be accommodated for if specified in advance, please let us know at the time of booking.

Mini Detectives (ages 4 – 6)
During the night, some cheeky animals have been sneaking around the zoo and taken things that don’t belong to them. Now it’s up to our Mini Detectives to help solve the mystery!
Children will follow a fun trail of simple clues and riddles around the zoo with a Ranger, the birthday child gets a special score card and at each stop, the group will answer number-based questions to help unlock a secret code. Crack the code to open the mystery lock box – inside are surprise goodies the animals left behind to help throw the best birthday party ever!
After their adventure, the children will enjoy party games and food before free time to explore the zoo.
Junior Detectives (ages 7 – 11)
Something strange happened last night at Chester Zoo – animals were spotted taking things from around the zoo and we need sharp-eyed Junior Detectives to figure out why!
Junior Detectives will explore the zoo with a Ranger by solving a series of clever riddles. Each riddle leads to a new location, where they must crack a number-based clue to complete their score card. Once all the numbers are collected, the team can unlock the mystery box – packed with party supplies the animals “borrowed” for the big celebration!
After their adventure, the children will enjoy party games and food before free time to explore the zoo.
T&Cs
• Your booking is not secured until payment has been processed.
• All attendees must be paid for, including spectators. There is no spectator discount available.
• You must vacate your private party space by the end of your allocated time.
• Your party session includes all day admission to Chester Zoo for all party guests.
• Up to 12 children included in package and maximum of 20 children for each party booking. Children must be between ages of 4 – 11 years old, inclusive.
• Strictly one party package per booking.
• Our food is prepared in an environment that contains nuts and other ingredients with known allergens such as gluten, dairy, and lactose. Please inform a member of staff before your party so can offer alternatives where possible.
• Chester Zoo caters for dietary requirements where possible.
• Extra attendees and any food extras must be confirmed a minimum of 3 days before your party by calling our Events Team on 01244 650 209 or by emailing events@chesterzoo.org. We will not be able to admit any extra party guests on the day without notice.
• You will not be able to reduce children’s numbers or remove any party extras on the day of the party.
• The number of children you pay for and any extras you add on are non-refundable and non-transferrable once paid for.
• Outstanding party balance must be paid in full a minimum of 3 days before your party by calling our Events Team on 01244 650 209 or by emailing events@chesterzoo.org.
• No party guest will be granted access to Chester Zoo if the outstanding balance is not paid.
• 4 adult tickets are included with the party package. Any adults over this amount will be charged the nominal entry fee. Catering is not included with any adult tickets.
• Siblings will not be allowed to enter the party room unless they are included in the party numbers and have paid the party price per child.
• Any additional siblings of party guests will be charged a standard price for entry and will receive standard entry fee benefits.
• All Chester Zoo parties are for duration of minimum 2 hours, this includes Zoo Ranger talk, tour, and meal time. The party room will be available during your allocated time slot.
• Party food is for children only. Any party guests arriving later than 45 minutes after the party start time will not be included in the food service.
• No food or drink is be consumed on the premises unless purchased from Chester Zoo, with the exception of a birthday cake.
• No balloons, sparklers or party poppers are allowed within the premises.
• No decorations are permitted on the party room walls, as it damages the paintwork.
• No third-party entertainers are allowed at Chester Zoo.
• Guests will be asked to collect their belongings 10 minutes before your party ends. Guests must not re-enter the private space after party end time.
• Chester Zoo is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of customer’s personal belongings.
• Management reserve the right to make changes without notice.
