At Chester Zoo, we know that what we start here at the zoo is carried forwards with our conservation work through ACT FOR WILDLIFE. Our dedicated conservation team works tirelessly to protect the rich BIODIVERSITY of our planet, but we can’t do it alone. There are so many benefits to taking out a membership with Chester Zoo – not only for our members, but also for our wildlife.

What are the benefits of being a member?

There are lots of exciting benefits to becoming a member such as members’ talks where you’ll find out how your membership helps fund vital conservation work. Adult members will also receive a car sticker and junior members will go wild for the animal stickers. Keep an eye on Z Mag for information on members’ days as well as details of exclusive junior members’ events (age restrictions and additional costs may apply).
Unlimited Entry*:

* Due to the covid19 pandemic, members must pre-book online in advance of their visit until further notice.

The main benefit of membership with Chester Zoo is, free entry for 12 months, which we know is truly valuable to our members (this applies during normal opening hours). Under normal conditions, the only days of the year that we are closed are Christmas Day & Boxing Day, and every other day we open at 10am daily.

Exclusive Discounts:

We know that day trips to the zoo can be hungry work so when you take out a membership with Chester Zoo, you will also receive a members’ discount in our zoo shops and cafes*. Make the most of your membership by not only enjoying free access to the zoo, but being able to eat, drink, and relax in any of our restaurants with discounted prices exclusive to zoo members. Our restaurants only utilise sustainable palm oil, so you can be sure that your snacks are doing you – and the planet – good!

*Excluded items are specified at retail outlets and include products such as books, DVDs and promotional offers.

Exclusive Chester Zoo Literature:

As part of your membership, you will receive a subscription to our quarterly members magazine, Z Mag, either by post or email. This will keep you up-to-date with the very latest zoo news as well as exclusive behind the scenes interviews with our team and updates on our conservation projects here at the zoo and all over the world. We also consider our members’ opinions when it comes to the future of the zoo, and regularly offer members the opportunity to have their say.

Children’s talks and activities:

Your Chester Zoo membership has additional benefits for discounts and exclusive visits to children’s activities and talks. Children’s membership is offered at a significantly reduced rate than adult memberships, so you can keep the whole family entertained for less!

Complimentary Entry to Other Attractions:

This means that you will also benefit from one exclusive free annual entry to other zoos and attractions in the UK!
