Chester Zoo is a force for nature - and so are the supporters who choose to include a gift in their Will.

As one of the world’s leading conservation zoos, our charity plays a vital role in addressing the global biodiversity crisis, preventing extinction, and restoring nature for future generations.

By leaving a gift in your Will, towards our essential work, you could make a lasting difference and help:

  • Wildlife to survive and thrive - powering vital conservation projects at our Chester headquarters and with more than 100 partners across the globe.
  • Protect precious habitats threatened by human activity, climate change, and biodiversity loss.
  • Tackle the biodiversity crisis - driving world leading science, research, and fieldwork.
  • Rebuild species populations, so that they can flourish long into the future.

Every legacy we receive, large or small, is a powerful act of hope and becomes part of the solution to the world’s greatest conservation challenges.

Discover the impact of loved ones' legacies: Terri's gift

Terri’s generous gift enabled us to build a new enclosure for our snow leopards. Sadly, this species faces a high risk of extinction in the wild - threatened by habitat destruction, hunting, and climate change.

Terri’s brother kindly shared with us what makes her gift so special…

“Terri had many happy memories of visiting Chester Zoo in her childhood, and she was a lifelong supporter of the charity’s endless efforts to help conserve endangered species and support natural habitats. Since visiting the snow leopard habitat… I’ve realised her gift wasn’t just to the zoo; it was also a gift to the millions of people who will visit the habitat… helping to create more connections to wildlife and more special childhood memories for generations to come.”
