Chester Zoo is proud to work in partnership with like-minded businesses to achieve shared goals, so when baby wipe and nappies brand Pura approached us to explore a collaboration, we jumped at the chance to transform our baby changing spaces, enhancing the experience for our family visitors, and helping promote sustainable lifestyle choices.
Like Chester Zoo, Pura is a trailblazing Chester-based brand. Pura wasn’t born in a boardroom, but in the home of Cheshire parents Guy and Abi Fennell when they discovered that many wipes and nappies were not so clean for babies or the planet with irritating ingredients like fragrances, parabens, chlorine and unnecessary plastics.
Pura is on a mission to empower all parents to be able to care for the planet, simply by caring for their families, by offering convenient Allergy UK certified disposable wipes and nappies that are toxin-free and made with less plastic where possible.
New look baby changing areas
Next time you visit the zoo, look out for our refreshed baby changing facilities with a colourful and fun new look, designed to bring joy to both parents and children.
Pura’s clean and conscious wipes and nappies will be available to buy from dispensers inside the changing areas, in the main zoo shop at our face-painting stand, and you might be lucky enough to find a complimentary sample pack too!
Did you know? Pura also recycles nappies!
Around 3 billion nappies are thrown away each year in the UK, often ending up in landfill or being incinerated. But there is an alternative. Pura NappiCycle recycles around 60 million nappies a year, with recovered materials reused in applications like road surfaces and park benches.
