Thank you so much for your interest in supporting Chester Zoo’s Celebration Tree which is raising vital funds for our charity’s UK conservation work.  

1 – These T&Cs are aligned with our wider Chester Zoo T&Cs 

2 – These T&Cs related to Chester Zoo’s Celebration Tree which allows an individual to include the name(s) or message(s) of celebration on an engraved item that will be placed on the Celebration Tree that is located outside of the The Oakfield in Chester Zoo. 

3 – Chester Zoo reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel or change the Celebration Tree product and to update our T&Cs at any time. 

4 – If your submitted name or message is not acceptable, any monies paid will be treated as a donation. You are able to request a refund and this can be done by contacting the fundraising team on fundraising@chesterzoo.org We are unable to guarantee refunds if your request is not made within 7 days of your order.

5 – Submission of names and messages for engraving will be accepted by Chester Zoo from 5 June 2025 until the Celebration Tree has reached capacity. 

6 – Requests for names or messages for engraving can be accepted by completing an online form, calling our fundraising team, emailing our fundraising team or writing to our fundraising team and enclosing a cheque. Requests will only be fulfilled when Chester Zoo has received the donation. 

7 – All donations received will go towards our UK conservation work. If the funds generated by the Celebration Tree surpass the amount that we are able to spend on UK conservation work, funds may be released to our charity’s general funds. 

8 – Individuals donating are responsible for checking the spelling of the name or message for engraving before submitting. If a name or message has been submitted incorrectly, please contact fundraising@chesterzoo.org 

9 – Our charity reserves the right to reject any name or message without any reimbursement if it believes the name or message is offensive, contains defamatory content or has been submitted for any political or campaigning purpose, or if it may cause any reputational damage to Chester Zoo. 

10 – Names and messages engraved onto items will be placed on the Celebration Tree in an order arranged at the discretion of Chester Zoo. 

11 – The Chester Zoo team will endeavour to place engraved items on the Celebration Tree within 8 weeks from the date of donation. If there is a reason for delay, the Chester Zoo team will be in touch to inform you of this delay. 

12 – All information shared with our charity through the Celebration Tree webform is in line with our Privacy Policy.
