All animals have unique adaptations which help them to survive in their habitat. Adaptations can help an animal camouflage from potential predators, make them better hunters or attract mates.

Rothschild giraffe

A Rothschild giraffe’s long neck allows them to reach for food other plant eating species can't.

Sunda gharial

Pressure sensors help to detect changes in pressure caused by touch or movement, making Sunda Gharials expert hunters even in murky waters.

Asiatic lion

Carnassial teeth are an Asiatic lions sharpest teeth and work like a pair of scissors to cut meat effectively!

Asian elephant

Asian elephants only have sweat glands on their feet, so the large surface area on their ears helps heat to escape. They also use them as fans!
