We have loads of EXCITING opportunities for seasonal positions in our Admissions, Food and Beverage, Visitor Operations and Retail teams.
Our working environment could not be more different from a typical setting –
where else could you stroll among rare giraffes and tigers on your lunch break?

As an Admissions Assistant you’ll often be the first person our visitors come into contact with at the Zoo; whether that be on the day at our admission lanes and tills or by answering their email enquiries and phone calls pre/post visit. You’ll also be involved in the sale and delivery of commercial products and services. This will include welcoming guests who are taking part in our Experiences and checking them in at Adventure HQ, as well as working during Zoo Events such as The Lanterns. The role involves some cleaning duties.

As a Visitor Operations Assistant you will be working in a team that ensures that our visitors have an amazing experience throughout their entire visit. Your duties will include site presentation including litter picking, emptying bins, cleaning washrooms and assisting with visitor parking in our main car park. Our team are also tasked with operating the Lazy River Boat Trip, Treetop Challenge and the Virtual Reality Gorilla Trek as well as ensuring our amazing events spaces and offices are presented to high standards.

As a Food and Beverage Assistant you will be serving customers, cash handling, preparing food and drink, unit cleaning and replenishing stock. Food & Beverage at the zoo includes fast food restaurants, coffee shops, kiosks, a warehouse, and a 450 seat street kitchen serving Indonesian inspired food, as well as the Oakfield, which is our award winning British gastro-pub.

If you’re a Retail Assistant you could be working in one of our gift shops, in our busy warehouse or fulfilling our online shop orders! Duties will include delivering the highest standards of customer service, sales, visual merchandising of products, upselling, welcoming guests, unit cleaning, health & safety standards, cash handling, stock control and replenishment.

One other specific area of retail is helping to paint thousands of little (and not so little!) faces every year at the zoo. We’re looking for Retail Artists who are creative, or have some artistic flair, and enjoy interacting with children to fulfil this element of the role.

However it doesn’t stop there; you will be welcomed into our amazing team, receive all the training required and play a key part in delivering a world class service through your commitment and positive mind-set toward visitor satisfaction.
