This time our Junior Ranger Camp will be looking at how our zoo works. Over the 5 sessions you’ll discover some of the amazing jobs people do at the zoo and how they help us in our mission of preventing extinction.
From zookeeping to poo science to tracking animals in the wild our experts have some pretty unusual days at work. Now’s your chance to find out more about what they do!
The training camps run every Sunday for FIVE weeks. You can choose from Sunday morning sessions (10.30am – 12 noon) or Sunday afternoon sessions (2pm – 3.30pm).
Each week we will explore different parts of the zoo and learn about our animals and conservation work. We have lots of fun activities planned!
We have adapted our sessions to ensure all our Junior Rangers have fun whilst following the latest government guidelines. Our Junior Ranger Camps do not include any hands-on contact with any of the animals in the zoo, or behind-the-scenes access to any keeping areas.
This Junior Ranger Camp is for Junior Members of Chester Zoo who are in school years 4-6 at the time of the event. No adult or concession tickets available.
Dates: 16 January, 23 January, 30 January, 6 February, 13 February
