Here at Chester Zoo, we keep the National Collection of Nepenthes, stunning carnivorous pitcher plants predominantly from South East Asia.

These plants have amazingly varied trapping mechanisms and fascinating predator / prey interactions, but many species are also highly threatened in the wild. Join our Botany and Horticulture team to find out more about incredible collection of Nepenthes species and hybrids.

Booking is essential and are sold on a first come, first served basis.
