Join us in The Square at Chester Zoo for the 2026 RAWG Conference on 18 and 19 February.
There's also an optional icebreaker event taking place at The Oakfield pub at the heart of Chester Zoo on 17 February.
The Reptile and Amphibian Working Group aims to promote high standards of reptile and amphibian husbandry across BIAZA members. The group’s annual conference serves as a key event, bringing together professionals, researchers, and keepers from across the UK and Europe.
Over the two days, delegates will have the opportunity to network with colleagues, share the latest research findings, husbandry techniques, and conservation updates to inform best practice within the sector.
Across the two days it will include:
- Presentations from across UK and international Zoos working in the field of herpetology.
- Interactive workshops designed to provide practical skills, problem-solving approaches, and opportunities for discussion around key challenges in herpetological husbandry and conservation.
- A keynote presentation from a leading subject expert.
- Behind-the-scenes tours of specialist facilities at Chester Zoo, giving delegates the chance to see some of our conservation projects and facility design.
Chester Zoo will also be open to delegates on Monday 17 February before the icebreaker (onsite at The Oakfield, from 4pm) for a chance to explore the zoo.
On the evening of 18 February, we will head into Chester City centre to Chester Market for an optional social event.
Ticket sales will close two weeks before the event on February 2 2026.
