Join us on our first ever Chester Zoo Rhino Husbandry and Management Workshop.

This two-day workshop will look a range rhino husbandry, conservation and management projects across White, Black and Greater one horned rhinos. Topics will include:

  • Facility design
  • Rhino management
  • Rhino husbandry
  • Diets/nutrition and body condition
  • Keeper development
  • Training and Calf interactions

This workshop is aimed at keepers or other zoo personnel engaged with rhinos. The cost will include entry for both days, lunch and all refreshments. Please note: This workshop is aimed at professional keepers or managers who are currently employed in a zoological collection, therefore please use your organisational email address when booking.

Whilst we have a lot of exciting content planned we would love to hear from you. If you work with rhinos and would like to present about training, research, facility design or any topic on rhinos please email your expression of interest and a brief (200 words) abstract to academy@chesterzoo.org.
