Hundreds of you posted your stunning pics of the animals here at the zoo and they’ve really made for a breath-taking visual feast.
The contest was open to everyone and we had entries from right across the board – from those picking up a camera for the first time, to people who were in the right place at the right time with their smartphones on-hand, to those with a passion for photography.
It was an extremely tricky task to pick out the winners, but our judging panel eventually decided on their favourite three.
Huge congratulations therefore go to:
1st – Rachael Simcock for her charming photograph of a Sulawesi macaque – a species that is critically endangered in the wild
2nd – Stephen Bridson for his eye-catching owl
3rd – Eva Kulhankova for her beautiful trunk-to-trunk image of our baby elephant Hari Hi Way and his great grandmother Thi Hi Way
You can see some more of our favourites at the bottom of this page.
Finally, we’ve been so overwhelmed by how many of you got involved with the contest that we plan to hold more in the coming months. Indeed look out for our #AnimazingAction contest, coming soon.
Thanks ever so much to everyone who took part – we had lots of fun looking through your amazing pics of our amazing animals – and hope you enjoyed sharing them with others. Please do keep on posting!
