And to kick things off, work is well underway to re-skin one of our monorail trains with a GREAT new theme.

Visitors will soon be able to see some of the zoo’s GREAT WILDLIFE, such as Von der Deckens hornbills, Grevy’s Zebra, Scimitar-horned Oryx, Spectacled Bears, Northern Cheetahs, Asiatic Lions, Sumatran Tigers, Giant Otters, Humboldt’s Penguins, Caribbean and Chilean Flamingos, Congo Buffalo, Onagers, Camels, Greater One-horned Rhinos, Asian Elephants and Dinosaurs Bite Back! – an exhibition of 19 animatronic dinosaurs – from the new GREAT BRITISH monorail train.

The first to take a trip inside the train will be Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, when they visit to open the zoo’s new £2m gateway to conservation – the Diamond Jubilee Quarter – on May 17.
