TAKE A LOOK AT OUR FILM TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE NEW SAFETY MEASURES AT THE ZOO

Staying COVID-19 Secure

The Zoo is complying with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19

TAKE A LOOK

PLEASE DON’T VISIT

if you are in a high risk category, are self-isolating or if you or anyone you’ve been in contact with has symptoms of coronavirus. We’ll look forward to seeing you soon but right now, it’s not worth the risk.

BOOK ONLINE

We’ll be limiting numbers and asking ALL visitors to book online in advance. Even if you are a member we’ll need you to let us know that you are coming so that we can make sure the zoo isn’t too busy.

STAY 2m APART

Please keep your distance from other visitors. We’ll be closing indoor spaces and only offering take away foods to make this easier. We’re putting in place safe queuing systems at our main entrance, toilets, shopping collection points and food outlets to keep you safe.

PLEASE DON’T TOUCH

We’ll be cleaning much more regularly than normal but please try to avoid touching fences, windows, signs and play areas.  In some of our viewing areas we’ll ask you to stand behind a line so there’s less chance of touching the glass. Our play areas, interactive screens and cash machines won’t be in use.

HAND SANITISING

Please make use of our new hand cleaning stations. They are there to make sure you are never too far from a place that you can sanitise your hands.

CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS

Please try to use contactless payments if you can. We’ve upped the limit for contactless to £45 to help with this.

Please don’t arrange to meet friends and family at the zoo if they don’t live in your house. We’ll be limiting our bookings to no more than 6 people but you can contact us on guest.services@chesterzoo.org if you have more people than that living in your house.

If you need any help while you’re here

We’ll have members of our membership and guest experience team at the admissions windows next to the car park if you’ve got questions, plus staff across the zoo are happy to help. We just ask that you stay 2m away to keep them safe.

Please note, that there are fewer staff than normal working at the zoo so if your question can wait then please contact us either before or after your visit on guest.services@chesterzoo.org and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Our gates may be closed, but Chester Zoo is still caring for 35,000 animals. Take a look at ways you can help SUPPORT US at home! #DoGoodStayatHome
