I have a degree in environmental biology from Oxford Brookes University the fieldwork focus during the course was very much on the UK.  My love for native wildlife persists today and I have a particular passion for peatlands and was able to indulge this passion regularly while I was working for the Forestry Commission as an Education Ranger in Delamere Forest prior to joining the zoo. I am really excited to take up the post of Nature Recovery Corridor Project Manager and be working with native wildlife focus again while continuing to work with school and community groups in the region.

I joined the zoo in 2003 as an Education Officer moving to outreach education, becoming a Safari Ranger, 12 years later.  As the outreach team grew I stepped up to the role of Assistant Team Manager for the Outreach team and them for the Conservation Education Team when the outreach and In-zoo education delivery teams merged in 2020.
