Help our hedgehogs

I installed 3 hedgehog houses in the garden over Covid.I also wilded part of the garden and cut several holes in fences as hedgehog highways. We regularly have 3 hogs visiting the garden. I then bought a trail cam to watch their activity. I also volunteer at a local hedgehog rescue and have supported neighbours who have found injured animals. I have also released injured hogs in the garden once they have recovered at the rescue centre.

I have 3 hedgehog houses dotted around the garden. 2 were built by my husband once we had researched dimensions and 1 house was bought and adapted. We have developed a wild area in the garden and we leave logs, leaves etc for the animals to use. We have water available all year round although I don't have a pond yet. I feed the hogs at 3 feeding stations every night. I have loads of videos from my trail cam.

Neighbours know I volunteer at a rescue centre and contact me with ill or injured animals. I have helped to transport and care for an ill hog and injured bird this summer. I contacted the appropriate rescue agency and liase with them to help the animal.
