Santa’s elves are ready to welcome you to our Christmas themed grotto at The Oakfield – they might even take an ‘elf-ie’ with you!
Enjoy a delicious full English breakfast or traditional Christmas lunch prepared by Santa’s helpers, in our stunningly festive Garden Room with views overlooking the zoo.
Each child will get a personal meet and greet with Santa. Children will also receive a special gift, all the way from the North Pole.

After dining with Santa, join us for our much-loved winter event Lanterns and Light and see Chester Zoo come to life at night.
Immerse yourself in festive magic with light and sound installations, flickering fire gardens, larger-than-life pea-lit animal statues, and even a giant woolly mammoth projection.
Plus enjoy mouth-watering marshmallow toasting, and fairground rides for the young, and young at heart!
