Abi Clarke dives straight into the action at Chester Zoo! Abi dives into the action at Chester Zoo, starting with the adorable giant otters, Tibiri and Manu. These two are inseparable; they're definitely all about each other.
Next, Abi helps the Bird Team relocate greater flamingos to their new home in Heart of Africa, learning just why flamingo foot pics are so important. Finally, Abi learns the art of moving giraffes into their new space while she prepares them some packed lunchboxes (yes, lunchboxes!) and a little help from the experts.

Episode 2: Training season
In episode 2 of Abi Clarke: Zookeeper in Training, Abi meets Rico the sloth, who’s mastering target training for health checks, proving that slow and steady can also be clever. She also discovers how cassowaries have a unique family dynamic – the females are in charge, while the males are stay-at-home dads.
Abi heads backstage to the zoo’s conservation pods, where endangered golden mantella frogs are getting a helping hand. Adam from the Ectotherms team explains how they’re breeding these creatures, and also reminisces about the time he was Mexico working with nuns to save salamanders.

Episode 3: The unexpected icons
In the latest episode, Abi Clarke meets Satali, the “Brad Pitt” of Komodo dragons. Along with Reptile Keeper AJ, Abi finds out how Mezcal, the female dragon, has an accelerometer to track her activity levels and dives into parthenogenesis.
Next, Abi meets Jonathan, a Bird Keeper, who shares some of the most unhinged bird facts. One balding bird has been unlucky in love, so he's moving in a newbie with a full head of hair.
Finally, Abi checks in with Josh, an Ectotherm Keeper, and bonds with the ploughshare tortoises, including Hope, a three-legged tortoise rescued from the illegal pet trade.
