Step 1:
Why not begin with our video introduction? This provides some fantastic examples of how the zoo is working for a sustainable future.
Step 2:
Next, have a look at our, “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” resource. Get to grips with how waste needs to be sorted so we can pick out what can be recycled.
Step 3:
We are very proud of the steps we’ve taken so far towards reaching our sustainability targets. You can learn all about this in our comprehension task, “Protecting the Environment”
Step 4:
In the summer of 2021 we have held a fantastic exhibition called, “Love it for Longer.” This resource is perfect if you are planning a visit us but don’t worry if you can’t because it will still be a useful resource for looking at coordinates. “Get Coordinated”
Step 5:
Now time to have a look at, “How much do we throw away?” Take stock of the waste produced at your school.

We have created a Love it for Longer Virtual Workshop to complement this programme. The session delves a little deeper into the topics covered in the Love it for Longer packs and work that is going on at Chester Zoo. We have designed this interactive session to fit in at any stage of the programme.
We also have our 25 minute Ask Chester Zoo workshops that are perfect to give your pupils the opportunity to ask any questions to us that may arise during the course of your Love it for Longer project.
