This Live Lesson takes students on a journey into the world of UK wildlife, exploring the incredible native species found at Chester Zoo and across the country.
In this interactive session, students will meet zoo staff working to protect wildlife across the zoo estate and beyond. They’ll explore familiar UK species and uncover the challenges they face in a rapidly changing environment, from habitat loss to climate change.
Students will also hear from the team at the National Marine Aquarium, discovering the importance of the rich and diverse wildlife found in our UK seas.
In this lesson, students will:
- Explore a wide range of native UK species, from countryside to coast.
- Learn about the habitats and ecosystems these species rely on to survive.
- Discover how small changes to gardens and local green spaces can make a big difference for wildlife.
